Tiki Candle

With sincerity I questioned my Hawaiian friend: “So why did the Hawaiians receive Captain Cook as a god on his first visit, but kill him when he came back a second time?” “Ho Brah, they tink he kolohe Why bodda you?” As I listened, I drank kava from a coconut shell and silently hoped the Hawaiians had become a more benign people. Apparently they had; I walked away with this elegantly detailed, gold leafed tiki candle that boasts over 70 hours of burn time. Not bad for my first visit.
